Q.

Chicken pox???

I posted a question on Friday regarding my LG 22 months and her stuffy nose and vomitting.

I took her to the doctor he said that it was viral and gave me drops for the nose and valoid syryp for the vomitting.

I also noted 2 spots on her back - and he said that I must check for a fever and if it gets worse then I must bring her back.

She had a low grade fever on the weekend went up to 37 degrees but nothing worse gave her panado syryp and kept her cool.

Now last night I noticed a rash that appeared on her entire body, could this be the start of chicken pox and what can I give her. It' s not itchy at this stage just a rash.

Thank you

If the rash is not itchy then it is not chicken pox.It could be another illness. I suspect it is Roseola which is also called 'baby measles'. The rash will fade after about 2 days and your little girl will get better quickly. Do not give her Valoid as it will make her drowsy and unhappy.
