Change in sleeping pattern

Hallo doctor

Its been quite a while since I last spoke to you.

My son will be 2 on 25 July. Is it normal for their sleeping patterns to suddenly change for some reason?

My son used to sleep through, but all of a sudden for the last month things have chenged. He is back in our room (sleeps in his own bed) and only sleeps until 01:00 and then he wants to sleep in our bed. There has been no change at home and he is very very happy at school.

We have checked everything - he is comfortable at night, not too hot or cold. Please tell me if this is normal or am I missing something?

Thank you doctor.

Good to hear from you again. Your son is enjoying this performance every night and especially when he gets it right to get into your bed.He must go back to his own room and if necessary you may have to go through the difficult controlled crying process. The main thing is that he is happy at school and at home so this is just a habit that he has developed and is enjoying the audience and attention given to him every night.
