Celestamine Syrup and Teething

I' ve heard that Celestamine Syrup is good for when baby is cutting teeth as it is a combination of anti-inflammatory and antihistamine and due to this it calms baby too. Is this true and how safe is it for an 8 month old?

I cannot believe that you would even consider giving your baby a powerful cortisone combined with an old antihistamine for a minor natural event [teething] in your baby's life.

Pead - that was really very unprofessional and unnecessary. This is just a mother concerned about the pain her LO has to go through she is not trying to harm her child in any way that is EXACTLY WHY SHE ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION. Very unprofessional...... actually shocked and pissed off too

Firstly I would hardly call Teething a " minor natural event"  ! That' s the problem with paed' s. They all see this as minor when in fact it' s extremely painfull and uncomfortable for LO' s. Secondly I never said that I had given it to my baby and that is why I only asked if what I had heard is true. Clearly it wasn' t worth asking in the first place as the response I got from you was uncalled for!
