Calpol

Hi doctor, I would like to know, does Calpol have a sedative effect? I am giving it to my baby now that he is teething and he sleeps like charm. For how long can it be given??

Calpol is paracetamol [same as Panado] and as such has no sedative effect. It relieves your baby's teething pains so that he is able to sleep peacefully and without any pain.
