Q.

Calcium intake

Dear Doc

Please will you advise as to what the recommended daily intake of calcium is for a toddler who is nearly 3?

The normal calcium supplement for this age group is 700milligrams per day. Two cups of milk and a helping of cheese and green leafy vegetables per day will provide sufficient calcium for your almost 3 year old.
