burping

hello,
i want to know when (at what age) to stop burping my baby after feeds,cos'  it could be really tiring especially at night when sometimes he just wouldn'  t burp and also what happens if i put him down a when he does'  nt burp? cos'  sometimes its difficult but i carry him for a while and then put him down.

This is not easy to answer but most babies do not need to be burped after feeding when they are about 4 to 6 months old. It very much depends on the baby and whether they are comfortable when put down to sleep after feeding.
