Q.

Burned bum

Good morning Dr.
My baby''s bum is burned, i change his nappy everytime he''s made poo and when he has urinated and his diapper is full. Now yesterday i noticed his burned and i fed him youghut on Monday during the day (he is 6months now) is it beause of the youghut i gave him or someting else?
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD IS RECOMENDED FOR BABIES HIS AGE?

Your baby may be reacting to a food or more likely a fruit that he is eating. He should be on a rice or maize cereal now and on apple or pear.Stop the yoghurt as he is still too young for this. Could possibly be from the yoghurt. Try a little at a time first. Babies should still mostly be drinking milk and starting on soft poridges (Purity/celerac). Also try to use sudocrem at every nappy change, helps with nappy rash and prevents its.
