Q.

bum/nappy rash

Hi Doc
My boy is 16 months and has never had a nappy rush until last week(thick pimple like)! I am a SAHM and am the one taking care of him, and i always make sure the nappy is changed on time. What could be causing the rash?he had loose stools a day before the rash but stools fine now. What can i use for the rash/ I' m currently using Bennets bum cream.

It is difficult to give you a definite answer about your baby's nappy rash.Has he had an antibiotic lately? If he has had an antibiotic he may have a candida infection now. Give him a probiotic by mouth for at least 10 days and apply Nystatin Cream three times a day to his nappy rash. If it does not clear then try Antipeol Cream.Let me know if his rash does not clear up.

Try Antepeol cream. Its a bit expensive, but works like a charm.

Good luck
