Brushing Teeth

My girl is 14 months old and refuses and shuts her mounth when we try to brush her teeth, she has got 9 teeth already. She used to love brushing her teeth. Her upper gums are swollen at the moment. What can I do or how ?

This is a frequent question. You will need to make a game of brushing your little girl's teeth. Let her try to brush her own teeth using a small [pea size] amount of a baby toothpaste on her specal toothbrush. Brush your teeth at the same time and let her try to copy you. Then offer to help her. This may not work at first but after a while she will start to allow you to help her with brushing her teeth.

Shame, it must be because her gums are sore.
I would use a face towl with glycerine and clean teeth gently. She will like the taste of glycerine, which is harmless, and the rougness of the towel will clean her teeth.
