My 23 month old son was hospitalized for 5 days, the diagnosis was bronchopneumonia. He has been couching especially at night and sweating a lot, vomiting and lost appetite for the past two months, I took him to different GPs but was not getting any better.
He is fine now and eats his food, the cough has stopped completely but what i am concerned with is how did he get bronchopneumonia, does it spread from one person to another?. The nanny has been couching for more than two months and cough is not stopping, she also went to the doctor but there is no improvement. can it be that my child got the cough from her?

Your child could well have been infected by his nanny who appears to have some kind of chest infection. The concern is that your son may have TB as many of the symptoms of TB are mentioned here. Please ask your doctor to test your son for TB. Your nanny should also be tested.
