Q.

Breathing and heart rate?

Hello again doc!

I was just wondering what the normal heartbeat and breathing rate is for a 15 month old?
We had my LO at the doc wednesday, at that time her heartbeat was 160 and breathing 60 times per minute...
They thought it was acceptable...

Thank you!!!

Your childs heart and breathing rate were very rapid indeed and should be a cause for concern. Has your little girl got a chest infection such as pneumonia now? The normal heart rate is 100 to 110 beats per minute and respiratory rate about 24 to 30 breaths per minute at her age.
