breastfeeding and formula

I have been breastfeeding my 3wks baby girl since birth, but i started giving her nan 1 formula so that she can get used to the bottle since i will soon be going back to work, i want to know how safe it is to mix both breastfeeding and formula.

It is safe to do this as long as you do not have a family history of allergy to cow's milk. A better alternative would be to express your breast milk and leave the bottles to be given to your baby while you are at work.
