Dear Doctor

My daughter will be 6months in Dec 13, during the day she is on formula Nan and when I arrive in afternoon I breastfeed , but I have realised lately that at times she wouldn' t like breastfeeding she will cry sometimes when I try to force her. At night when she wakes up even in the morning she wouldn' t have a problem. Does this mean it might be her last few days on breast? or is it one of those growth spurt? Im little worried as I would love to breastfeed until she turns 1 yr. She is on solids already.

Please advice.

Your baby is probably so full from the formula feed that she is not interested in breastfeeding in the afternoon. At all other times she takes the breast well. Perhaps you should be sending expressed breast milk with her during the day.
