Q.

Bottle to cups

Hi Doc

My son is 13 months, and I want him to start drinking from a cup. How can I get him to or should I still wait?

You don't need to be in a hurry to do this. You can certainly try him with a sippy cup and see if he appears to be ready. Otherwise give him a good while longer on his bottle and try again in two months or so, each time seeing if he is ready and initially substituting only one botttle feed with the cup and then gradually increasing the number of times per day he drinks from the cup.

Hi, vir wat dit werd is. My dogtertjie is dieslefde ouderdom. Ek laat haar buite speel met die tuinslang en ons gooi haar glasie vol water en sy drink dit dan. Sy geniet dit vreeslik alhoewel sy bykans al die water mors. Sy het al verbeter. Laat haar teen haar eie tempo leer.
