Hi doc,
My daughter is turning 2 next year March, she is in a nursary school and since she was just over a year old they did not give her her bottle during the day. I want to take her completely of her bottle (during night times she drinks her bottel to fall asleep and wakes up 2 - 5 times a night for her bottle) any idees on what I should do to get her off the bottle will be appriciated.

Thank you

This is never an easy question to answer as every child is different. Girls usually seem to learn to stop having a bottle at night quite easily. Tell her that she is a big girl now. She only needs two cups of milk a day now.She should only have her milk from a mug. Tell her that before she goes to sleep she can have her cup of milk and that big girls do not need to drink from a bottle at night. If she wakes up and is a bit thirsty offer her some water from a cup or mug.
