Q.

Boiling water

Dear Doc

My baby is now 12 months - it is probably time to stop sterilising bottles etc now. I will continue to use cooled boiled water for her formula, but from what age can tap water (without boiling) be safely given to a child?

Many thanks,

You definitely do not need to sterilise your baby's bottles any longer. If you live in an area where you have good clean town water then there is no need to boil this water.
