Q.

Hi doc

While cleaning my 9 month old girls pooh( that was al over the place) I discovered when blotching her vagina with a wet cottonwool ball there is a very slight red discharge. She seems fine other wise. Thank you in advance.

A slight reddish discharge can occur in a baby girl a few days or weeks after birth but it is unusual at 9 months. It does not sound like a candida infection either. If the discharge persists it would be best to ask yor paediatrician to see your baby.
