Blood in stool

Please help my five and half month baby boy has blood in his stool. Just a little in jelly substance. I have been trying different purity flavour pear being last one. Could be allergic? Is this serious?

It is always worrying when your baby passes blood in his stool.Blood in a baby's stool can be due to a small tear in the anus especially in babies who are constipated. Other possible causes are some form of gastric infection or a food allergy. If this continues or happens again please ask your paediatrician to see your baby.
