My 1 yr old son had a poo this morning very hard pieces mixed with little blood and there was also soft poo and there was no blood there..I was just wondering as I was a little concerned with the blood that maybe something is wrong and will wait for his next poo..do u think maybe it was from the pushing he did as some was hard or cud it b something serious?

The most likely cause is the fact that your baby appears to be constipated and the hard stool he passed caused a small tear of his anus.He needs to be on a diet with plenty of fruit, fluid and fibre and you may need to chage his formula to one less likely to cause constipation such as Lactogen2 even if he is already 12 months old.If the bleeding continues he must be seen by a doctor.
