The platelets are present in the blood stream and are important when blood clots. The sedimentation rate is done when an infection is suspected. Immunoglobulin E or IgE is an antibody which is increased in allergic children. The phadiotop is a screening test for allergy. The RAST paediatric multi is a screening test for food allergy. The RAST grains and banana tests are for allergy to cereals and bananas.
