Blocked nose - 2year old

Good day doctor,
i have been struggeling with my daughter''s nose since she was about 1 year old, we have tried sterimite nose spray, and a few peadiatric nose drops, but nothing seems to work. her nose is permanently blocked and that results in her couging up a lot of muchas " slym"  through the day and it is worst at night. She wakes up between 9 times a night to every half hour. (from 20:00 - 06:00).

Can you please give me advice on what to do to relieve her blocked nose so that she sleeps better and breathes better?

Thank you

Your daughter probably has an allergy that is affecting her nose causing a condition called 'allergic rhinitis'.You have already tried treating her blocked nose without seeing any improvement. She has real problem with her blocked nose as she cannot sleep properly. She needs to be seen and tested by a doctor.

my Friend''s son had the same problem as well. if there is a carpet in your daughter''s room you need to remove it. my friend''s DR told her to remove carpets and her son should not use further pillows or Duvets. she was also in and out of DRs with her son until she removes the carpets at her house.
