Q.

Bladder Infection - 2 yr old

hi

my 2 yr 8 months old daughter has been sctratching her vagina lately but when I check there is no swelling or rash. she has been potty trained for a while now but she is now battling to hold her wee in and we had lots of accidents over the weekends.

I am seeing her dr tomorow but was wondering if this could be a bladder infection? I didnt know kids so young could get it.

Your little girl may have a bladder infection, but I rather think she may have a pinworm infection. Please ask the paediatrician if this could be the cause of her vaginal itching and problems with holding her urine in.
