Q.

Bed wetting

Good day Doc

My 2 yr 5 months son wets the bed, only at wake up time, i.e. he will be awake and not go to the loo but wet the bed. What could make him do this, as it is frustrating. This is not a potty training issue as he does indicate when he wants to visit the loo both day and night before he sleeps. The problem is only when he wakes up from the bed,at that moment, then he will call me and then he is wet and it' s afresh wet.

Regards

Your son is still young and you have done well with his potty training so far,but he still slips up at night. Let him wear a nappy at night or pull ups if you prefer. You can try a reward system such as a star chart at this stage, but he may be too young for this still.Give him some time before you start anything new,10 days would be ideal.
