Bay cries during feeding

Hi. My 7 week old baby has been on NAN1 formula since birth on 24 Nov 08 (no breastfeeding). On average up until last week, he was drinking about 100mls every 3 hours. Last week Wednesday he started crying during feeding and ends up drinking less than 50mls. Today was worse, for the whole day he only has about 150mls. I' m worried thathe is hungry and he cries uncontrollably. What can be the problem causing this behaviour? Is it the formula?

It could be the formula or your baby may simply be having colic. Or he could be intolerant of milk [lactose intolerant] or allergic to milk. The most likely cause is colic so try him on one of the usual colic remedies such as gripe water or Bennets colic remedy and see if this makes any difference. If there is no improvement please write to me again.
