Croup is not an allergic condition but is usually caused by a virus infection. Many young children go through a a stage of having repeated episodes of croup and then they grow out of this problem usually by the age of 5 years. You dog is not the cause of your little girl's croup.

Use a humidifier in her room, that will help to ease the cough.
