Q.

Back Rash

Hi

My son will be 5 in September. He had eczema when he was 4 months old till about 10 onths. It only affected his cheeks. Since then he hasnt had any skin problems.

I have noticed that he is always sensitive to clothing labels on his t-shirts and I have always cut them off. Howvere, there are times that the part behind his lower neck and upper back gets a very tiny rash. there are plenty of red pimples and they are extreemely itchy. Over a few days the pimples just turn very dry and still quite itchy. I always dress him in cotton clothes and it happens in both Summer and Winter.

His health condtion is otherwise quite healthy. What can I do about this rash.

Thanks

This sounds like a typical heat rash. Keep your son dressed in cotton clothing with all labels cut out as you are already doing. Do not overdress him.Apply a thin layer of aqueous cream to his chest and back if the rash appears.
