Q.

Baby''s weight

Hi Doc. My son is 4months and weighs 8kg''''s, he''''s on Nan 1. Do i have to change the formula or will he loose that weight later? I''''m worried about his weight, he doubled his birth weight in 2months...please advise

The average weight for a 4 month old baby boy is 7kg.You have not mentioned your baby son's length as he may just be a very big boy. His weight is on the 90th percentile line of the infant growth chart which means that his weight is in the top 10% for baby boys of 4 months.Do not change his formula. He should remain on the NAN1. Do not start him on solids until he is 6 months old.
