Q.

Baby with short tongue

Morning

I wonder if you can help me.
My baby is 8 months old. I' ve noticed that his tongue is quite short. He never breastfed, so I didnt notice a problem. I actually dont notice a problem now, because he is developing normally. He weighs about 9.6kg and is 70cm. I see that he doesnt or cant stick his tongue out. Is this a problem?

Your baby may have a very common condition called 'tongue tie'. With time his tongue will grow normally and no treatment is needed. He seems to be thriving so there is no need for concern.
