The average weight for a 16 month boy is 10.7kg.Your son's weight is not really excessive if he is taller than average for his age. Unfortunately you have not mentioned his height.Give your son a healthy mixed diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Keep him off too much starch in his diet and also sweets, ice cream, chips, chocolate and fizzy and artificial cold drinks.
