baby waking early

hi, my baby (boy) is 8 months today. he has been on formula since birth and slept through from only a few weeks old. i started him on solids at 6 months and he really enjoys his food. he is getting squash, butternut, paw paw, some prunes (constipated sometimes), carrots. the last few days he is waking very early in the morning, which never happened before. he is not sick. he wakes anything between 4 and 5 and wants his milk. i tried other things like giving him the dummy, water and changing his nappy, but he is really hungry and finishes his bottle of milk when i give it to him. he then continues to sleep after the milk.
i started him on cereal and fruit in the morning. before he was only getting food at lunch and dinner and then 4 milk feeds throughout the day. now he is having cereal and fruit with formula for breakfast, veg and milk for lunch and veg and milk for supper.
is my baby hungry? why is he waking so early suddenly. i think he gets enoug food during the day. milk = 220 ml x 4 feeds.

Your baby certainly is eating enough. This is probably just a stage he is going through as he seems to be a healthy little boy otherwise.
