Baby suffers from dry skin

Hi there,

My 15 week old has very dry skin. She suffered from eczema at around 6 weeks and I got her some Epizone E cream and a cortizone cream. The eczema cleared up but she still has very dry, rough skin. I continue putting on the Epizone and I was her with Cetaphil for Babies. Do you have any advice on how I can nourish her dry skin? Thank you.

You are doing the right things for your baby's dry skin which is part of eczema.Use the Epizone E instead of soap when you bath her and apply Epimax Junior afterwards.Try to use very little if any of the cortisone ointment as possible. The main thing is to keep her skin moisturised.

Hi there. Both my boys also had eczema and very dry skin. You can also use the light pink Elizabeth Annes Shampoo to wash your baby with as well as use it for lotion (the shampoo does not make foam as it is more like a lotion). This was recommended by our GP because he did not want us to use Cortisone on our babies. It really helps with dry skin, eczema as well as burned bums. Good luck.
