Q.

baby squinting

Hello, my baby turned seven month two days ago and today I have noticed that she is squinting a bit. She seemed to have very straight eyes before. Should I take her to a doctor or is it something that will go away on its own in a few months? Can I do anything to prevent it from getting worse?

It is important to take notice of a squint in a baby at any time from about 4 months of age onwards. For this reason your baby should be seen by a pediatric ophthalmologist [eye specialist]. Treatment at this stage is usually to use a temporary patch over the affected eye.
