You should definitely be concerned. Babies of this age should not snore. The most likely cause is that your baby son has enlarged adenoids. Snoring in infants is dangerous as it can lead to a condition called 'sleep apnoea' where babies stop breathing at times. Your baby must be seen by an ENT specialist as soon as possible.
