Q.

Baby shivers while eating

My 6 month old baby girl frequently shivers while being fed as if she has just had a chill go up her spine, I only introduced her to solids a few weeks ago, because she has silent reflux and I didnt want to aggravate her condition. Her paediatrician gave me the green light so she is on first foods by Purity. I am wondering if this is something that other people have seen in their babies. I have mentioned it to the doctor before, who didnt seem concerned and said it is probably just enjoyment/strangeness of the experience. I must also mention that she loves to shake her head around, which I have also mentioned to her doctor, who said she was playing a game and it was for pleasure that she did this. My first child didnt do anything like this, so I thought I would just ask your opinion as one hears so much about neurological problems. I would have thought that if it was something like that, she wouldnt be interacting at that moment and she normally seems quite fine. Her development seems to be normal and she loves to laugh, coo and goo-gaa and blow raspberries. She is also trying to feed herself already and it is very difficult to get the spoon out of her grasp when she has a mind to grab hold of it LOL!
