Q.

BABY SCALP - 5 months

Good day,

My son' s hair is very dry - I have been using Olive oil but it does not seem to help.I have to put some on like 3-4 times a day. His scalp is also a bit dry-I am now using Annique baby shampoo.

We had to trim his hair as well as he scratches alot on his scalp &  it gets red.

please advise me what I can use on his hair.

thanks doc

Your baby appears to have rather severe form of seborrhoea which is a form of cradle cap.He will need more treatment than you are using now as he is not getting any better. Try a very dilute cortisone oitment such as Mylocort ointment applied once daily to his scalp until it is clear. Then only use this ointment again if the rash reappears.
