It is unusual for a baby of this age to be so restless.Babies of 8 months need about 13 to 14 hours sleep per 24 hour day.Sedatives are not recommneded and will not solve your baby's sleep problem.Your baby is not hungry so that is not the cause of him waking so often.Another possible causefor babies to wake like this is a blocked nose. If your baby's nose is not blocked then the most likely cause for his sleeping problem is silent reflux. Try him on an anti-reflux formula such as Novalac AR. If he does not improve it would be best to take him to see your paediatrician.
