Baby Not gaining weight

Hi Doc - My son refuses bottle. He went from six 180ml to four 120ml in the last 2 months. He weighed 6.5kg on June 1st, 7.3kg on July 16th, we are from clinic today for 6 months check-up, he still weighes 7.3kg! I only started him on solids in the last month, the problem was already there. He''s on NAN HA. He is otherwise a happy baby. What could be the problem? What can I give him to increase his appetite? Should I change his formula? He''s on NAN HA due to eczema.

The average weight for a baby boy of 6 months is 8kg.Your baby's weight is below the average but not vey far below. Many babies do not like the taste of the low allergy formulas after a while so it will help to change him back to a regular formula if you are sure that he is not allergic to cow's milk. If he is allergic then he will need to go onto a soya formula such as Isomil2.
