Baby moaning and groaning and crying in sleep

good day, please help....

my little boy - almost 1 year - has been having disrupted sleep for the past 3-4 nights and i dont know why, he usually sleeps 11-13 hours without even stirring.

Now, after about 2-3 hours sleep, he will start moaning and groaning and even crying in his sleep, with tears falling! he is then restless for the rest of the night basically.

He has been very sick for the last couple of months and has been hospitalised 20 times in the past year with chest infec, antireflux op, pneumonia, mic key/feeding tube inserted etc. can he be having flashbacks of the hospital?

What can i do to try and prevent these episodes (i was up 19 times last night!!!!!) and how do i settle him as nothing seems to help...

While your son may well be having night terrors related to all his hospital admissions, I believe that he is still being troubled by reflux.I see that he has had an operation for refux already which may not have been completely successful.Give him 2.5ml [half a teaspoonful] of Gaviscon liquid at night. The Gaviscon infant sachets are no longer available. Please let me know how he gets on.
