Baby has tight chest and rash

Hi, my sisters baby is 14 mnths old and suffers from a tight chest, wheezing and diffuculty in breathing when he gets flu. We have taken him to the doc 2 days ago and has been prescribed anti-biotics for 3 days. Becasue he doesn t know to breath through his mouth as yet, with his nose being blocked, it wakes him during the night, keeping his mom up or waking every hour. He was admitted to hospital in Dec for bronchial pnemonia and suffered a ceasure due to high tempretures and dehygration. My sister is now paranoid him going through the same thing again so as soon as he gets a cold, we take him to the doc.
Please advise if i can use essential oils (lavendar, tea tree &  chamomile only) and will this help his situation.
They do have the tight chest, flu, chesty thing that run in the family and all the grandkids in the same age group have suffered from this. They have all also been on enebulizers.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

It is difficult for me to be sure without being able to see your little nephew, but it sounds as if he has eczema and the early signs of asthma. He probably has nasal allergy as well.He needs to be carefully diagnosed so that he can be put on the correct treatment. He should be seen by a paediatrician with experience in paediatric allergy.
