Q.

Baby Girl''s weight

Thanks for your response, doc. I am worried that you are concerned about my little girls''s weight. I failed to mention that she was 4.05kgs at birth so on average she has been gaining 1kg per month. Does the birth weight not perhaps contribute to her current weight of 9kg?

Your little girl's birth weight was indeed above the average but only marginally so. Her birth weight was on the 75th percentile line. Her monthly weight gain is excessive and her current weight is now far above the 75th percentile line and is on the 98th percentile line. The weight for a 5 month old baby girl with whose weight is following the 75th percentile line on the infant growth chart is 7.7kg.
