Thanks Dimera.I am sure that you know all about laryngomalacia which is a softening of the supportive cartilage of the upper airway particualarly the larynx or voice box. This is a temporary problem although it is impossible to predict how long the cartilage will take to become firm.Your baby should be able to go outside but not in miserable or cold weather. Avoid contact with other babies with coughs and colds. It is not recommended that she fly until she has recovered to the extent that you can no longer hear any noisy breathing especially when she inhales.
