Q.

Baby feeding

My boy is now 3 months 2 days old and 5.2
kg''s in weight. In the past 4 weeks I have intoduced bottle feeding hence I see at times he does not get enough from breast feeding. I do bottle feeding when &  if necessary. Is it okay to use this combination??? When should I start introducing the solids or what is the suitable age to do so? Which ones are best recognised in the market?

I''m now giving him 800ml''s of S26 gold twice or sometimes once a day and inbetween I do breast feeding. Night time I mostly do breast feeding.

Thanks in advance for your help

The average weight for a baby boy of 3 months is 6.3kg. Your baby's weight is below the 10th percentile line on the infant growth chart putting him in the lowest 10% for baby boys of 3 months. You can continue feeding him as you are doing. He seems to need and will benefit from the S26 Gold formula now. If he is a hungry baby you can start to give him solids at 4 months, starting off with a rice or maize cereal.
