Baby fall

It''s me again..My son fell last night from the bed and he hit his head on the floor he was okay later then he strated playing again..Then at night he developed fever of 37.9 i gave him pynmed it came down to 32.7 and I also realised that he is coming down with flu as his nose started to block and he had a lot of mucuos coming from his nose.In the morning he was playing a bit and he went to creche I just phoned them and they say he is coughing and he vomited his food.So just wondering if the fall cud have anything to do with it or what cos he was okay the whole day...I know of head injuries and all but he seemed okay after that and he slept and he also had his bottle at night....he''s almost a year

It is always difficult to be sure about a baby who falls on his head without being able to see your baby. The main signs of problems are food refusal, drowsiness, irritability and vomiting.Your baby seems to have none of the main danger signs but he did vomit today. The problem here is that he appears to have developed another illness on the same day as he fell on his head. His fever, runny nose and cough suggests that he has a cold which has affected his chest as well.Keep his nose clear with saline nose drops and use Panado or Calpol which does not contain codeine if he has a fever.
