Q.

Baby facial rash

My baby is 24 days old today and a few days ago there appeared a rash on her face and neck. I thot it to be heat rash so I started dressing her a little less but it has actually gone worse the last two days and i am now worried. The rash is tiny, onthe checks and forehead and looks inflammed in the morning.

What could it be and how do I help my baby over this rash?

This is a common transient rash of young babies which is called milia. It is due to hormonal causes and will fade away by itself. No treatment is necessary. Just wipe her face gently with a soft cloth with clean cool water.Do not use any soap.
