Q.

Baby eczema

My baby is 7 months old and has eczema on his face and neck for a few months now. I am using either Cetaphil or E45 to wash his face and then apply E45 as a moisturiser. I moisturiser almost every hour. I use Fullers Earth powder on his neck after a bath and then apply E45. Still my baby' s cheeks and neck are red and itchy. The rash is bad some days and better other days. The Paed prescribed 1% cortisone cream (I was told to use it for 5 days and then just go back to moisturising. The cream worked well. But I am reluctant to use it again coz of the side effects.

My clinic recommended I take baby for an allergy test. Would you recommend this?

Also, is there any other cream that I can use that may help the skin?

Tx

You are strongly advised to have your baby seen and tested by a paediatrician with expertise in children's allergies. In the meantime use Epizone E when you bath your baby and use Epimax Cream as moisturiser after bathing your baby.
