Q.

baby constipated

Dear Doc

My baby is teething and is very constipated. I tried using milk of magnesia but it doesn''t seem to be working and I am giving her water as well. She had a bloody hard stool the other day. What can i use to help her?

You do not mention which formula your baby is on. It would be best to change her formula to Lactogen1 and see if this helps her constipation. Just before changing her to the new formula you can use one infant glycerine suppository, followed by one suppository the next day as well.
