Your son has had a very bad cold which is caused by a virus infection as you know. Sometimes the virus infection can be quite severe and lead to slight bleeding of the nose as you have noticed with your little toddler. Use saline nose drops such as Salex to clear the mucous from his nose and also to help to heal the mucous membrane which lines the inside of his nose.
