Q.

Baby and aeroplane

WE will be travelling (flying) overseas in a short while. everybody tells me that babies have problems with their ears with take off and landing of the plane. is there something one can do about this?

The main thing is to make sure that your baby is feeding both during take off, but more importantly during landing.Make sure that your baby's nose is clear and if necesssary put a drop of infant saline nose drops in each nostril before take off and again before the landing. It is mainly the changes in air pressure that causes babies to have ear pain that makes them so unhappy when they have to fly.
