Q.

Baby acne / eczema

Dear Doc
My 31/2 month old has spots and rash like appearance on his face. Could this be baby acne, or eczema? What can i do to help it. I am using johnson and johnsons fragrence free aqueous cream. Could this help or make the problem worse? Should i put nothing on his face instead (his face appears quite dry). Thank you so much!

This is more likely to be a very common temporary rash known as 'milia' that often occurs in babies. It will clear up by itself.Do not use any soaps on your baby's face. The baby aqueous cream is a good choice. This can be applied at least once a day.
