Q.

Asthma meds

Dr my little boy, aged 16 months, has been using Ventolin and Flixotide 125 in the spacer for the last 4 days now....When I read the little pamphlet that comes with the Flixotide they only mention the usage at 6 yr of age....How safe is the chronic use of these 2 meds in a little boy like mine....And is it ok to use the Ventolin more than twice a day, like when he starts coughing terribly at night?
Thanx

The Flixotide is safe to use for your little boy. It must not be used more than twice day.Only give the Ventolin if he is coughing or you can hear that his chest is wheezing [ like a whistling sound] You should not use the Ventolin more often than 3 times a day.
